Philips Compact Transducer Connector Pin Protective Cover
The new Protective Cover will replace the dust cover provided with the X7-2t and X8-2t transducers.
The new Protective Cover is made of sturdy polypropylene and is designed to withstand years of use. Remove the rubber dust cover originally supplied with the transducer to install the new cover. Place the new cover over the connector pins and press them in place. Use the twist connector to attach the cover to the transducer cord. This is the installed cover position whenever the transducer is not connected to equipment for scanning (being transported or cleaning).
To use the transducer for scanning, remove the cover from the transducer connector, leaving the cover attached to the transducer cord by the twist connector. The cover will swing out of the way. The cover is designed to remain attached to the transducer cord while the transducer is used for scanning.
To clean and disinfect the new Protective Cover, refer to Philips User Manual Care and Cleaning of Ultrasound Systems and Transducers.
